Some things move and some things don't!

This past two weeks have been busy .  But I digress.  I wanted to post some pictures of our sweet send off from Utah to DC .  A few of our family members were there to wish us well.  Car packed to the hilt, we said our final goodbyes and started driving.

The highlight of our trip was to stop in ND at our daughter and son in law's home.  Fun to see lots of wonderful grandchildren!
Now to our last 2 weeks here in DC.  We have made a move (hence some things move).  Our new address is 300 Hamilton Street NE #315, Washington, DC 20011.  Yes, we are in the district along with all it's craziness!
A picture of our "move"

This past 2 weeks we have attended 3 sacrament meetings, 2 district meetings, 2 zone training meetings, met with a stake presidency and all his bishops, institute twice, FHE twice,  two Friday night parties, a meeting with the stake president, mission president, zone leaders and the ward mission leaders in one stake, attended "Why I Believe", a monthly fireside at the visitor's center for new converts and investigators, had a special tour of the visitor's center by Elder Fowler,   and met with ward mission leaders and the sister missionaries to discuss the needs in one of our wards.
We also had time to see a little of the mall and Harper's Ferry

As far as things that don't move, see the picture below.  On one of our Sunday "drives" we experienced a huge amount of traffic (of course what DC is known for) but had a gorgeous view of the temple
In al the craziness of this life, we think it's important that we remember who we are and why we are here.  As Elder Neil Anderson said in October conference, we need to be a "witness of God at all times and in all places".  We need to be "open about our faith in Christ".  Then he promises us that "as you pray often and sincerely for opportunities ...those opportunities will come, and those who seek more light and knowledge will be put before you.  As you respond to spiritual promptings, the Holy Ghost will carry your words to the heart of another, and one day the Savior will confess you before His Father".

The gospel is true!

Love,
Elder and Sister Morgan
